Interior objects & Lighting

Pieces with a strong silhouette, for shelves, consoles and side tables. In Eswatini, a woman-led workshop turns discarded newspaper into paper pulp, shapes it entirely by hand, a technique also known as papier-mâché, and lets it dry slowly in the sun. The result is a family of sculptural vases, footed bowls and table lamps with a fine, tactile surface and quietly bold forms.

Alongside them are lamps coiled by hand from papyrus and star grass in Tanzania, designed with the French designer Emmanuel Babled. Natural fibre and soft light give them a warmth that suits both contemporary and traditional rooms.

Combine a paper pulp vase with a woven lamp, or let a single piece stand alone: these are objects that give a room its character.
