The Mbabane Bowl brings a quiet, sculptural presence to any interior. Its distinctive, lime-textured surface and organic form make it a beautiful statement piece—whether filled with fruit or seasonal decorations, or simply displayed on its own.

Handcrafted by skilled artisans in Eswatini, Southern Africa, the bowl is made from upcycled paper pulp, giving new life to a humble material while celebrating traditional craftsmanship.

The artisans behind your product

Our partner

The woman-led social enterprise in Eswatini (formerly Swaziland) crafts superb objects entirely made from 100% waste newspaper from a local magazine distributor. Experimental yet profoundly anchored in the majestic archetypical shapes of the African Continent, it manifests the encounter of imagination and heritage.

A unique texture

While the collection looks like ceramics, every object is crafted from the paper pulp made in the workshop, then sundried during 4-6 weeks before it reaches us. The irregular texture and the colours originate from the landscapes of Southern Africa, giving the sculptural objects a strong presence and timelessness.

All the products are handmade by women who are employed full time at the workshop with permanent contracts.  The team loves to collaborate and create - if you are an interior designer interested in bespoke colours or shapes, we can develop these together!
