Sculptural and elegant, the base of the Lubombo Lamp echoes the trunk of the mythical African baobab. Made entirely from paper pulp, its shade is finished by hand in matt gold, giving the piece a soft, elevated glow. Fitted with a textile cable and switch to European (CE) standards.

The artisans behind your product

Our partner

The woman-led social enterprise in Eswatini (formerly Swaziland) crafts superb objects entirely made from 100% waste newspaper from a local magazine distributor. Experimental yet profoundly anchored in the majestic archetypical shapes of the African Continent, it manifests the encounter of imagination and heritage.

A unique texture

While the collection looks like ceramics, every object is crafted from the paper pulp made in the workshop, then sundried during 4-6 weeks before it reaches us. The irregular texture and the colours originate from the landscapes of Southern Africa, giving the sculptural objects a strong presence and timelessness.
