Pebble Basket

Rounded and gently sculptural, the Pebble Basket stands out through its understated silhouette, tactile weave and earthy palette, bringing a sense of natural warmth and quiet sophistication to the home.

Handwoven by Gurunsi artisans in Northern Ghana, each basket is crafted from elephant grass, carefully split, twisted into strong strands and dyed to achieve its rich, earthy tones. Only the upper part of the grass is harvested, allowing the roots to remain intact and regenerate. Woven slowly by hand, without the use of a mould, the closely worked fibres create an almost textile-like surface. Subtle variations in shape and texture make every basket unique.

Beautiful as well as versatile, the Pebble Basket offers elegant storage for a folded throw or magazines beside a sofa. Alternatively, style it on a stack of books or let its sculptural form stand alone. Available in brick or black and white, it brings an effortless sense of balance and material richness to both contemporary and eclectic interiors.

Our Partner

This collective of weavers in Northern Ghana has elevated the art of basketry to another level. The subtle mix of colours, the perfect finishings and the joyful vibes of the artisans pair with the extraordinary shapes they have developed.

Elephant grass

All baskets are made from a fiber called Elephant grass grown locally, it gets dyed, then twisted and eventually artistically woven into the most incredible shapes.
