Multicoloured Woven Tray

A vibrant interplay of green, red, ochre and natural fibres gives this large round Bolga tray its distinctive graphic appeal. Handwoven by Gurunsi artisans in Northern Ghana, its concentric pattern radiates from a central point, creating a striking decorative piece that celebrates the artistry of traditional basketry.

Crafted from elephant grass, each strand is dyed before being twisted and woven by hand. A colourful thread trim defines the rim, while two integrated woven handles complete the design.

Versatile by nature, this woven tray can be styled flat on a dining table or ottoman, or displayed on the wall as a piece of textile-inspired art. Beautiful on its own or arranged in a group, it brings colour, texture and an expressive touch of African craftsmanship to the interior.

Elephant grass

All baskets are made from a fiber called Elephant grass grown locally, it gets dyed, then twisted and eventually artistically woven into the most incredible shapes.
